A little hint of what’s just days away.

I’ll be curious to see how well these integrate. One of the strengths of BC lies in the fact that people can bounce in and out at anytime an have a clear view of status and progress, while CF requires people to ‘meet.’

Looking forward to seeing the results of your hard work . .

Woohoo! Sunrise! ;)

Very Cool Guys. I was just telling a client (Basecamp user) about Campfire and what we might use Campfire for, so this is very exciting for me.

YOU GUYS ROCK! Can’t wait to see it!

Very nice!

Screw the video, release it now!

A video of the collected team of signals (all 37 of ‘em) air-guitar’ing the guitar solo in “Beat It”, would definitely make my day :-)

JP, not Sunrise. Its the campfire/basecamp integration.

I say you guys should do more blogging and less software updates!

I must say that 37s continues to impress me when it comes to the speed in which you develop vs. other hosted web companies out there. Business Week had it right when they call you “Speed Demons”. Bravo.

Jason, can u tell something about pricing plans?

JF 28 Jun 06

Ismo, pricing is on the basecamp site and the campfire site. This feature just provides integration between the two products.

Does this mean that all Basecamp plans would include integration with the free 4 person Campfire plan? That would be a bonus. Also, how do you feel about giving a (small) discount to users of both systems, in the same way that plans get cheaper per project as you go up the ladder? I’m thinking $5 month off or maybe a free basic campfire plan with $49/month Basecamp. No huge discount that hurts your bottom line, just a gesture to existing users and a way to drive your customer base to use more than one of your solutions.

And one more also (if you don’t mind) - any update on Sunfire? I know that the company I work for would love to use such a product, especially if it had some level of communication/crossover with Basecamp to reduce internal repetition.

From two 37s posts above , I think ‘expansion plan’ for 37signals mean more product integration (i.e. campfire+basecamp) and in the future positively basecamp+ campfire + sunrise.

Basecamp will be for all corporates needs, while backpack will be more personal things.

Going to be interesting to see how 37s deal with those basecamp users that already have a campfire account (with transcripts and rooms). Will BC allow you to link an existing account, or will it be a totally new one? Time will tell :)

You’ll be able to link up your existing Campfire account or create a new one if you don’t have one.

Transcripts will be stored in Campfire. Rooms will be linked up inside projects in Basecamp. You’ll see. Stay tuned.
