We just can’t keep it quiet in the Rails camp. The Agile Web Development with Rails is taking on a second edition after selling more than 40,000 copies of the first. And after filling up the invasion of Chicago in June for the first RailsConf, we’ve just announced that London is next. On September 14-15, RailsConf Europe will be besieging central London. If you’re into Rails (or interested in becoming it), that’s the place to be. The Chicago edition sold out in just about a week.
Now excuse me while I drag this oversized horn back to its chamber.

Ah. And I just bought my 1st edition two months ago. Any chance of upgrade pricing? ;)
Better to be burned on a $25 book than a $2500 PowerBook, I suppose :)

Woot! RailsConf Europe! I missed my chance at a RailsConf ticket, so I’m not missing this one! Flights from here in NYC to London ain’t bad at all. RailsConf (europe) here I come!

Man, I wish. Flights from ATL (even this far in advance) are hovering around $2000 round trip. I think I’ll wait ‘till it comes back to the states. I’d love to go to London, but I think I’d rather go on vacation with my family instead of a conference.
Can’t wait till it’s back in the States though!

Got an email last night to download the latest pdf. I just bought the 1st ed. book and pdf 2 weeks ago.

Ah! Just bought my 1st edition copy of that book last night. Oh well, I suppose it will still be better to learn Rails now than in September. :)

I am really interested in learned rails. I am new to Web Development, and I really would like to start using Ruby on Rails. Do I need to learn Ruby first, and then move to the use of Rails? Or are there books that do both?

I guess it’s great that they’re coming out with a new edition, but I JUST bought the 1st edition.
Any chance of getting an ‘erratta’ pdf that just includes the differences? I’d be happy to buy that if it were a buck or two.
