Fellow Chicagoan, great programmer/journalist, creator of the Django framework, talented guitarist, and genuinely nice guy Adrian Holovaty and his Everyblock hyperlocal news and information site grace the cover of this Sunday’s Chicago Tribune Magazine. Adrian, his site, and his crew deserve all the ink they can get.

Wait a minute! You guys can’t congratulate someone from the other side! Don’t you know there is a ruby vs. python war going on?!? Who’s side are you on, anyways? This just won’t do I’m going to have to call a meeting of the programming language security council and have you guys listed on the open minds watch list, and axis of non-commital evil.

Sorry for the non-constructive post here, but I just had to post about how hilarious I found Tim’s comment. Somewhat reminded me about some stupid “PHP is Kind” conversation I passively heard yesterday in a coffee.
Indeed, the Django guys deserve storms of ink raging on every page you can find.
And special kudos for the slap you just gave the “Django vs Rails” folks out there.
