Neat visual nav at Stylous.com. Check it out in action to see how it works.

Finally, a good excuse to buy a purse.

Slick. The only thing they got wrong is that there really must be an X in the upper right corner of the popup for the specific item. Although clicking outside the window to make it go away becomes intuitive once you find it, until then this kind of thing can baffle your average user.

I love the way this isn’t flash!

This reminds me of Modista.com, which is worth a look.

Modista combine visual nav with image recognition. It’s refreshingly different. I’m not a shopper myself, but took notice when I saw shoe addicts on Twitter raving about it.

OMG . I’m shopping for stuff I don’t need just to play with this. Awesome.

Why in the RSS feed does it prefix this story with “PHOTO:”.

I mean, I can see it’s a post about a photo by the fact there’s, errr, a PHOTO in my RSS reader!

It might seem like a nit pick, but when several posts appear with PHOTO : and some with WATCH : it makes my RSS reader feel unnecessarily patronizing.

How did they do that?

I love that I can easily find bargain deals on really great items and it tells you the item is 55% off…nice.

They seem to have now implemented the X in the upper right corner to close the popup.

Not sure what all the fuss is. What’s the great UI improvement? I find it rather annoying to have to scroll left/right. To me, it is a degradation of the user experience.

We did something similar for this website a year ago : Stox . They’re making money with it which is the first aim. The nav is well appreciated as well. Unfortunately, it’s not in English so far. Modista is cool too.
