When we were growing up it seemed like my friend Adam used to practice violin every hour of every day. It paid off. Check out more at Pianafiddle where his two-man band improvises Bach to bluegrass.

The guy is so good that we can’t even accuse 37signals of nepotism. After the intro solo of ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’, I was looking for the second violin and then I suddenly realized it was the same guy. He is the his two men band. Amazing.
And the lesson is important too: those who can stick it out has a lot better chance of winning in the end. As you guys at 37s have been saying for years now “overnight success never happens”.
Gary Vaynerchuk call it “hustle”. Normal people just call it “practice”.

Maybe that’s why, in sports, it’s not that match about the match. It’s almost all about the practice. The result in the match is just a consequence.
This was beautiful! Made my night so much better. Congrats to your friend, Jason.

Thanks Jason – Wow!
This will be a great inspiration to my 13 year old (semi-retired ;-) ) Violist son. This is just what he needed – a bit of a kick-start.
