Guys, I love your products and the service you provide is top notch. You’ve made it!
But please, please, PLEASE stop dropping the “f bomb” and other such language in your posts. You don’t need it to appear that you’re keeping it real. We respect what you’ve done…OK?...your choice of words just diminishes your accomplishments. Please.

Personally I find the phrase “f bomb” to be far more annoying than the actual swearing.

Regarding the Apple comments in general, it would’ve been far better and far more credible for the Signals to take issue with Apple BEFORE they released a product that is billed as the Kindle-killer.
But anyways..

They’re giving ‘criticism’ of existing products and policies, like the iPhone and the App Store and the overheating laptop and the ‘sorry, but no dice’ service.
All I’m saying is doing that after Apple becomes a direct competitor to your major investor is a little weak. If you don’t say it before (I think they should’ve, but that’s another argument), you probably should refrain even if it comes out of nowhere and they reach completely unprecedented levels of conduct the consumer might find objectionable (which I don’t think they have).
Or have the intellectual honesty to come out and say you’re doing what you are doing at least.

Gee, did you just find a tin-foil hat in your cereal box today? What an elaborate scheme of criticism to bring down Apple because they have a computer that also allows you to read books? What?!
The funny thing is that the one thing I’ve been using my iPad for the most is reading books. Typically through the Kindle app, in fact, because the books I want to read aren’t available through iBooks. Please compute that in your conspiracy theory machine. If the answer is 17, try again!

Look, it doesn’t have to be an elaborate scheme. It’s probably natural.
And I’m not saying you are saying anything now you wouldn’t have a year or two ago or during one of the Apple love-in posts that date from even further back. But here’s the thing: you didn’t. Sarah didn’t.
It’s a free world. Do what you want, I’m not stopping you.
