I really like the availability approach you’re taking with system administrators.

Love it. A coworker lives in Europe (he moved to Europe ‘cause he wanted to after working here a while, not a planned thing) and he saves the rest of our lives and sleep schedules on a regular basis.

I’ve been working from Europe on several occasions and it’s really a great way to impose “quiet time” from the rest of the company. If you start working around 11 or noon, you’ll still have plenty of overlap with the US, and you’ll also get enough offline time to get some serious work done.
