Would be nice to see one big picture of the dashboard since on the Product Blog, all you see is small zoomed in snippets of changes.
It’s be nice to see the big picture of how all of this looks.

We have to update the tour video (it’s the old design), but you can see big screenshots on the tour page.

By the way, how are you using Google Maps with Highrise? Do you have an Enterprise license for Google Maps?
I ask because it’s my understanding that it’s against the license to use Google Maps on a non-public web site (i.e. a web site that requires a login like Highrise does).

The exactly link from Google Maps about the requirement for “publicly accessible”
(Sorry for the multiple posts)

Interesting changes. A part of me want the old HR back, and a part of me love the new one. I’ve used the app since the launch day in ‘07.
I’m looking forward a couple of “Design decisions” posts :) Especially what made you integrate the sidebar with the main stream when viewing a contact. Every contact feels cluttered with stuff now. I loved the concept of the separation on main content window / sidebar so much on the old HR that I designed our internal crm app with the same feeling (which is of course integrated with HR, but adds a couple of features we’re missing).

Wow, that’s fast. It seems that I just read your teaser article last week.
Beautiful and useful. I really love it.

I too miss the old one and like the new one. Every change in life should be like that.

My comment above was cut off. I meant to post: Excellent redesign! The new nav bar at the top that allows quick access to contacts is just what I needed. One minor pet peeve is the awkward comma that sits in front of the phone number if a contact does not have an email address, like my comment above.

I’ve been using HR for over a year (after switching from an unnamed, overly complicated product) and I love it’s simplicity and focus on the basics. The new design extends that simplicity. I would, however, find it very helpful if there were some additional reporting capabilities, especially around deals. We’re using a third party product today to satisfy some of our basic reporting needs, but it’s cumbersome and complicated. I find it odd that I have to resort to such a solution, given the beauty and simplicity of HR.

GKL : We agree that we should be better re: deals and deal reporting. Hopefully we’ll be able to address that this year.

OK – this is a huge improvement. I use Highrise a lot but struggle to get all of our our team involved, not sure why, it seems they can’t get around it as intuitively as you would hope?
This is a fantastic redesign and personally think more ppl will ‘get it’.
Well done!
