Feedburner to Google Jason F. Jun 01

9 comments Latest by Gustav Mörtberg

If you haven’t heard, our fellow Chicagoans at Feedburner are now part of Google. The official announcement was made today.

Congrats to the Feedburner crew and Google. Everyone I know at Feedburner is quality. Feedburner’s man in charge, Dick Costolo, is one the sharpest (and funniest) people I’ve been fortunate enough to meet in the past few years.

Great companies are made of great people and Google definitely gets greater with this acquisition.

Well done on both sides.

Congrats to all. I find it very interesting, however, that of all the feed readers out there, Yahoo is apparently the only one now having a problem hooking in to Google / Feedburner’s feed.

Kinda funny, actually.

It’s great to see some money flowing our way here in Chicago, especially to companies like you guys and Feedburner who actually provide a service (and not Web 2.0 smoke and mirrors).

Just curious as to why you found Dick Costolo sharp, could you provide a specific example? Since I never met the guy I just would like to understand why you felt this way..

This might have been a hit, oh, 1 years ago…

I hope this can only improve quality of the FeedBurner :)...

As a native Chicagoan who has just moved back from 11 years in Manhattan I am very pleased to read this news. I am also a relatively new blogger and have found Feedburner’s services to be fantastic.

Chris: I think Dick is sharp for a lot of reasons. Check out Dick’s blog for a hint.
