HOW’s 2006 Business Annual (subscribers and the newsstands should be getting it soon) features an 8-page spread on 37signals.

The piece talks about our beginnings as a design consultancy, then on to Basecamp, Rails, Backpack, Campfire, etc. We also talk about Less, our culture, Getting Real, working remotely, why we believe in the power of small, etc.

We’re really happy how the article turned out. Big thanks to Lisa Baggerman Hazen, the Chicago-based writer and web designer who penned the piece. Lisa was great to work with. Check out her extensive design and writing portfolio.

So, thanks again to HOW and Lisa for the piece! We really do appreciate it.

looks quite sharp, but you’ve gotta expect that from HOW . Can’t wait to read it.

Congrats! HOW is one of my favorite design magazines because they are all about practical design and problem solving - no surprise you guys are being featured. And what another great step towards bridging the gap between the print and web worlds - just by featuring 37signals HOW is guaranteeing that tons of internet-phobic designers will venture cautiously online to check things out. Awesome. Can’t wait for the piece.

Hearty congratulations, Signals.

Looks great. Shouldn’t that headline by Less is Less though? ;-)

I’m living in Europe. How can I get the magazine? Is it possible to order online?

While I’m not a huge fan of design magazines in general, stories like the one above are important. Without actually having read the issue yet, I’m going to assume that it talks about about design + business working together in a practical and unique way that has been a success. I hope there’s more stories like that out there. Congrats.

Arrows.

I think you can buy the magazine from Borders if your located in the UK.

Looking forward to reading.

Great article and the title “Less is More” is perfect! I am really impressed with everything your team has accomplished. Well done!

Those are probably the most visually boring screenshots they’ve ever featured in the magazine. And I mean that in a good way!

Hey, we’re in the same issue! Nice to have the company.

any reccomends?

It’s good to recognition where it is deserved.

I’m sure you’ve (and others) have already seen this, but in Time Magazine (Oct. 23, pg. 62) 37signals is mentioned in the article “The Next YouTubes” as one of “Five Hot Sites to Watch”. Pretty cool.
