New 1-minute Highrise videos: Introduction, Tasks, and Cases Matt Jan 22 2008

7 comments Latest by Andrew Conard

Explaining Highrise can be a challenge since it’s a contact manager, address book, simple CRM, and task manager all rolled together. You really need to see it in action to get it. To that end, we’ve been busy cranking out some videos that show the power and ease of use of Highrise. Check ‘em out:

Highrise introduction video
The HighriseHQ.com home page now features a 1-minute introduction video (upper right of screen). It’s a quick, “aha” clip showing how to use the product. (It also features some nifty zooming and panning courtesy of Camtasia.)

Highrise Tasks video
We also posted a brief video tour of Highrise Tasks. This video, which is linked from the Tasks blank slate page, focuses on how you can use tasks to get things done.

Highrise Cases video
Lastly, we’ve also added a tour of Highrise Cases. Cases help you keep related notes, files, images, and people together on one screen. This video also doubles as a blank-slate introduction.

Groovy videos. I’m working on something similar for my company’s new software. I think figuring out the voice over is the hardest part.

Nice video production. I was wondering what tool was used to control the movement of the screen display. It’s superior to other demos I’ve seen where there is no screen movement at all to facilitate closeup shots, etc.

I have to admit we are still not clear on the advantage of HRise over other low-tech methods … if nothing happens with a contact for two weeks or so and I didn’t set a follow-up action right away, they fall into obscurity and I have to dig through everything to find loose ends.

Maybe we’re doing it wrong.

I’d like to see a ‘tickle’ feature where it prompts you to touch base with a contact if no activity is reported for x days.

Thanks for the vids, tho.

Never mind…looks like its SmartFocus functionality from Camtasia. Nice.

John – Thanks for sharing the videos. I think that Highrise is a great product and would like to share these videos on a wider basis. Are these available on YouTube or other similar site? Thanks!

ML 23 Jan 08

Andrew, these videos are not presently on any video sharing site. I recommend you just link directly to the page where the video is hosted.
