Spartan interior design. Utilitarian, simple, and still elegant in my opinion.

Total flash back. When I was about 10 years old we spent a week in a house like that one summer. It was fantastic.
It’s a very nice house, too cold for a Danish winter, but it is perfect for the summer.

Still looks relevant and elegant to today’s tastes.

I prefer vacation homes built out of nearby material – log cabins, sod houses, etc. To me, that’s simplicity and great design.

Beautiful…we had family friends when I was a kid that had a cottage at the top of a huge steep cliff on a lake that looked just like this, and often visited. One year they were out of the country and we had full use of it all year…WOW!
